TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
These Terms and Conditions apply to applicants buying tickets on-line where the Terms and Conditions are clearly displayed, or to on-site on-the-day purchasers, where the Terms and Conditions are displayed at festival entry points and at the point of sale. All persons visiting North West Fine Food Lovers Festivals are admitted subject, and agreeing, to these Terms and Conditions.
General Terms and Conditions
1. Tickets shall not be resold or transferred (save as 2. below) and shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant through North West Fine Foods Limited.
2. If more than one ticket is issued to an applicant, those tickets may be used only by the applicant and the person(s) intending to accompany that applicant to the festival or by the intended recipient(s). The provision of such ticket(s) by an applicant to such person(s) without payment shall not contravene clause 1. above.
3. North West Fine Foods Limited shall be entitled to refuse admission to any ticket holder if it thinks fit, without giving any reason.
4. Any ticket obtained in breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be void and all rights conferred or evidenced by such ticket shall be nullified. Any person seeking to use a ticket obtained in breach of these Terms and Conditions in order to gain or provide entry will be ejected and liable to legal action.
5. Tickets cannot be exchanged or replaced after purchase.
6. North West Fine Foods Limited shall refuse entry to anyone not in possession of a valid ticket.
7. North West Fine Foods Limited shall use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the schedule of events during the festivals take place in accordance with its advertised programme, but reserves the absolute right, to substitute any part of the programme with an alternative.
Cancellation or Curtailment - Refund Policy
8. If the festival does not open on any day or if it closes before the stated “final entry” time, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded with the amount that they paid for the tickets. The maximum refund payable will be the face value of the tickets for the day concerned, North West Fine Foods Limited will not refund car parking fees paid to third parties.
9. All refund policies are based on the festival opening or closing times, not on visitors’ time of arrival; there are no exceptions to this.
10. North West Fine Foods Limited’s decision on how long the festival remained open will be final.
11. Only the original purchasers of the tickets are eligible for refund(s) under this policy.
12. Tickets bought should be returned to: North West Fine Foods Limited, Technology Management Centre, Moss Lane View, Skelmersdale WN8 9TN. Applications for refunds will only be accepted if received within 60 days of the event. Refunds will be made by cheque, sent by 2nd class post, within 10 working days of receipt.
13. Ticket holders will not be eligible for refunds in any of the following circumstances:
- If tickets were purchased through unauthorised ticket agencies or other sources.
- If ticket holders did not attend a festival that opened as planned.
- If ticket holders were unable to attend a festival for any reason not attributable to failure on the part of North West Fine Foods Limited, including but not limited to personal circumstances, illness, strike and travel difficulties.
14. If only part of the festival was forced to close. Refunds will only be given against tickets, according to the Terms and Conditions set out in this document. North West Fine Foods Limited shall not be liable for consequential losses, including but not limited to travel expenses, car parking fees etc.
Food Lovers Membership Card Holders
The following additional clauses apply to Food Lovers members who hold membership cards and attended a festival that was cancelled or curtailed:
15. Only the face value of the festival tickets will be refunded, not the value of the membership.
16. Refunds will only be made to the named member, by cheque, on production of their tickets. To be valid, applications for refunds must be made within 60 days, see 12 above.
General Admission Information
17. Strictly no smoking in any of the festivals’ indoor areas, including, but not restricted to, marquees, toilets, demonstration areas, café areas etc
.
18. Strictly no admittance will be given to skateboards, skates, scooters, bicycles or other children’s toys deemed by North West Fine Foods Limited to be hazardous to other visitors.
19. Children under the age of 16, cannot enter unless accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. There are no crèche facilities inside the festival, and children remain the responsibility of the accompanying adult at all times. Please note point 20 below.
20. Ticket holders and accompanying children enter the festivals at their own risk. Ticket holders must obey all on-site safety warnings given either verbally or by signage. Adults who are responsible for children must ensure they also adhere to all on-site safety warnings given either verbally or by signage. Failure to do so personally, or failure to control children in this respect, may result in the ticket holder(s) being asked to leave the festival site without a refund.
21. North West Fine Foods Limited reserves the right to evacuate the festival in the event of a Fire Alarm, or other emergency irrespective of whether it is a genuine emergency or not, in order to protect all ticket holders and stallholders. North West Fine Foods Limited does not accept any liability for any delay and in such circumstances will not wholly or partly, refund tickets.
22. Strictly no admittance will be given to any animals with the exception of registered guide and assistance dogs.
23. Attendants cannot be provided for disabled visitors but one companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visually impaired visitor or other person, whose disability necessitates a carer.
24. Please note that our festivals are temporary, outdoor events on open ground and are subject to varying weather and ground conditions. Although the festivals are generally under cover, much of the event(s) is on open ground and care must be taken. We therefore advise that you check the weather forecast for the day of your visit, consider the nature of the event and the effects of any inclement weather on surface conditions, and wear suitable clothing and footwear. In extreme weather conditions, access may be restricted in the interest of safety.
25. North West Fine Foods Limited reserves the right to refuse entry and/or eject the ticket holder without reason.
26. Entry to the venue is subject to the right of North West Fine Foods Limited to search the ticket holder and their belongings. Entry with prohibited items is restricted. ‘Prohibited Items’ include weapons, political or offensive materials, dangerous items, musical instruments and such other items as North West Fine Foods Limited may deem to be prohibited from time to time.
27. The use of cameras, video or other recording or transmission equipment for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden and any such photographs or recordings may not be used without the written consent of North West Fine Foods Limited.
28. Ticket Holders must comply with the directions of North West Fine Foods Limited’s staff, or their appointed contractors.

29. Complaints regarding North West Fine Foods Limited or its Festivals should be sent in writing to The Chief Executive, North West Fine Foods Limited, Technology Management Centre, Moss Lane View, Skelmersdale WN8 9TN.
