Great food, Great members
What is NW Fine Foods Gourmet Membership
NW Fine Food is a not-for-profit organisation owned by North West fine food producers – each one has a £5 share in the company.
How do we do it?
All the income we generate goes back to benefit our producer members, whether it’s subsidising markets or festivals at which they can sell their produce, or arranging ‘meet the buyer’ events to introduce them to retailers or chefs. We also use our income to raise the profile of fine food through media relations, or by organising the annual NW Fine Food Awards, or the NW Fine Food Young Chef of the Year competition .
We cannot carry out our work through producer membership fees alone, or through the income generated by festivals and events. We therefore rely heavily on funds from the public, government funding or sponsorship. To ensure we remain a sustainable and effective organisation we are launching a Food Lover membership, to allow individuals to become members of NW Fine Food. This will help us raise the profile of our producers still further, and will help to ensure their long term future against the competition of the big national producers and retailers.
